On the weekend of November 8, 9 and 10, L'Artisanà participated as guest of honor at the 12th Biennale des métiers d'Art et d'Artisanat du Valais, an event that showcases the best artisans of Valais and highlights their craftsmanship through demonstrations and workshops. In this setting, L'Artisanà set up a small exhibition of MAV artifacts and a showcase of the productions of today's artisans sold in our boutiques....

With the month of September, the biennial exhibition dedicated to the world of sticks comes to a close. The MAIN – Maison de l'Artisanat International dedicates an afternoon to the artisans, collectors, collaborators, visitors and friends who have shared this important exhibition project with us. On Saturday 14 September, the Gignod exhibition centre will host the closing party of the “Bâtons Amis” exhibition. On Saturday 10 August at 5 pm in the Library Room of Antey-Saint-André, the exhibition “Louis Meynet, Artisan de Montagne” dedicated to the sculptor Luigi Meynet will be inaugurated. The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Regional Department of Finance, Productive Activities and Crafts, the Municipal Administration of Antey-Saint-André and the IVAT – Institut Valdôtain de l'Artisanat de Tradition. The latter, through the MAV – Museum of Traditional Aosta Valley Crafts, has curated the entire project to enhance the artisan. At the MAIN – Maison de l'Artisanat International in Gignod, within the exhibition “Bâton Amis”, the works of 5 contemporary artists are exhibited who with their art have reinterpreted the stick-object giving life to a project of comparison and reflection on the relationship between art and craftsmanship. The works of Manuel Diemoz, Fabienne D'Oddaz et Thibault Nieudan, Sarah Ledda and Chicco Margaroili will remain on display to the public until the end of September. Admission is free....

On Saturday 1st June, the MAIN – Maison de l'Artisanat International and its exhibition “Bâton Amis” reopened to the public for a summer season full of events and new features. On the occasion of the exhibition "Family stories and handed down knowledge: the Vuillermoz" currently open to visitors at the MAV - Museum of Traditional Aosta Valley Crafts, a series of themed educational workshops are planned. L'Artisanà's summer is back. Every day, from Tuesday to Sunday, a different event: from our workshops to concerts to the theater. Tuesday: The stick is the protagonist of the new exhibition of the MAIN - Maison de l'Artisanat International in Gignod and also of its thematic workshops that will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for children aged 6 to 14! You can engrave, decorate and personalize your stick with different tools to make it unique to live any adventure together!...

The exhibition, which can be visited from Sunday 22nd July, aims to act as an “input” to give new impetus to objects that are slowly disappearing from our traditional craftsmanship. The object is analyzed from a development and renewal perspective and during the two-year period of the exhibition the assets will be gradually implemented by new acquisitions, proposing a constantly evolving cultural offer. On Wednesday 25 April, the MAV reopens to the public, after a winter season entirely dedicated to schools and the educational area, with the “Oeuvre Choisie 2018”: 19 artefacts chosen by the Director of Ivat – Institut Valdotain de l'Artisanat de Tradition from among the stalls of the thousand exhibitors present at the 1018th Foire de Saint-Ours.
