Exposure

In August with L'Artisanà events for all tastes

On Saturday 10 August at 5 pm in the Saletta della Biblioteca in Antey-Saint-André, the exhibition “Louis Meynet, Artisan de Montagne” dedicated to the sculptor Luigi Meynet will be inaugurated. The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Regional Department of Finance, Productive Activities and Crafts, the Municipal Administration of Antey-Saint-André and the IVAT – Institut Valdôtain de l’Artisanat de Tradition. The latter, through the MAV – Museo dell’Artigianato Valdostano di Tradizionale, has curated the entire project to enhance the artisan.
The exhibition, organized as part of the 25th edition of the Antey Fair dedicated to students of craft schools, aims to enhance one of the greatest sculptors of our region who left us a large number of works as evidence of a life dedicated to craftsmanship.
The exhibition will be open from August 11 to October 15, 2019 during the opening hours of the Municipal Library. Admission is free.
On Sunday 11th, the same day as the fair, the MAV Educational Woodworking Shop will be in Antey with many workshops dedicated to the little ones: from 10.30 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 16.30 every 30 minutes in the room under the Municipal Library.
The activities are free and reservations must be made on site on the day of the event.

The exhibition has been extended

Given the great success of the exhibition “Family stories and handed down knowledge: the Vuillermoz”, the MAV – Museum of Traditional Aosta Valley Crafts has decided to extend its opening hours until November 3.
Throughout the summer, the public will be able to admire the splendid works created by the skilled hands of the Vuillermoz artisans and learn about the strength of the family nucleus as a place of education. The exhibition aims to tell the story of craftsmanship as family knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation from the 1930s to today: Vittorio, Giulio, Luciano and Franco. Four artisans who have been able to make their manual skill a family tradition, giving life to a refined art that has spanned an entire century.
The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday during the Museum’s opening hours and admission is included in the MAV ticket.
