At the MAIN – Maison de l’Artisanat International in Gignod, within the exhibition “Bâton Amis”, the works of 5 contemporary artists are exhibited who, with their art, have reinterpreted the stick-object, giving life to a project of comparison and reflection on the relationship between art and craftsmanship.
The works of Manuel Diemoz, Fabienne D’Oddaz et Thibault Nieudan, Sarah Ledda and Chicco Margaroili will remain on display to the public until the end of September. Admission is free.
Concerts and events in museums
Summer events continue at MAV and MAIN! The next events not to be missed are:
- On Saturday 13 July, MAIN hosts a meeting for collective reflection on the theme of the “Artisan Man” with Nurye Donatoni, Gianni Nuti, Giuseppe Saglio, Renato Meucci and Paolo Salomone.
- Saturday 20 July at 5pm , again at the MAIN, Sergio Pugnalin takes us on a journey through the musical languages, styles, cultures and events of the Eastern Mediterranean, proposed through various traditional lutes and his storyteller’s voice.
- On Saturday 27 July at 5pm the MAV will host a concert by accordionist Giorgio Dellarole who will offer the public a programme on the Italian roots of the classical accordion in the second half of the 20th century, when the instrument went beyond its typical popular connotation and began to appear on the threshold of the “cultured” environment.

The MAIN – Maison de l’Artisanat International offers workshops for children and teenagers (aged 6 to 14) every Tuesday afternoon and are dedicated to the relationship between art and craftsmanship, inspired by the works on display.
All activities cost €7 and require a reservation.
