On the weekend of November 8, 9 and 10, L’Artisanà participated as guest of honour at the 12th Biennale des métiers d’Art et d’Artisanat du Valais , an event that showcases the best artisans of Valais and promotes their manual skills through demonstrations and workshops.
In this setting, L’Artisanà has set up a small exhibition of MAV artefacts and a showcase of the productions of today’s artisans sold in our boutiques.
Christmas workshops for adults and children
Like every year, the month of December and the Christmas holidays are full of themed events.
Starting from December 4th, there are many Christmas workshops for children on the theme of the nativity scene : in the MAV Educational Carpentry, children will be able to make, appointment after appointment, the figurines for their own nativity scene or create original nativity scenes to hang, to travel or shadows. During the Christmas holidays there will also be two free educational carpentry appointments for those who want to experiment with woodworking in freedom.
But the novelty of this year is certainly the workshops for adults : three events in which to experiment with your manual skills with different techniques and materials. On Sunday 8 December the creation of nativity scenes in wood and carded wool is scheduled, on Sunday 15 participants will be able to make a wooden toy for their child in the educational carpentry and, finally, on Sunday 29 December decorative crowns will be created with wool, felt and natural materials.
The children’s workshops cost €7 with the option of a subscription (€35 for 5 entries + 1 free), those for adults cost €15. Reservations are required by calling 0165-764276 or at the regional tourism offices by the day before.

In the sweet Christmas atmosphere of the market, young visitors will be able to experience manual craftsmanship with the MAV Educational Carpentry.
All boutiques reopen in December
