Like every year, the MAV offers a rich program of workshops for families for the Christmas period: from December 7th to January 6th, children are invited to create original Christmas decorations in the museum's Educational Carpentry. Among nativity scenes, Christmas baubles, reindeer and snowflakes, children will have fun "working like real craftsmen" sharing the joy of creation with their parents. During the month of November, the MAV - Museo dell'Artigianato Valdostano di Tradizionale closes to the public to dedicate itself to its heritage. This autumn month has always been dedicated to the care of the collections: the works of the MAV are subjected to inspection, cleaning and maintenance conservation. The task of every museum is certainly to enhance and disseminate culture and make its collections accessible, but it is first and foremost to take care of its heritage. The latter belongs to the community and it is a duty for a museum to commit to their protection....

In October, the MAV becomes a place of meeting and reflection, but also a stage for music and theater with a series of great cultural events. Here is the program: Saturday, October 8 at 5 pm the musical show “Gernika” will be performed with the actress Alay Arcelus Macazaga and the musician Selene Framarin from the Aosta Valley, directed by Matteo Destro. A show between music and masked theater that tells the horror of war and the grandeur of art capable of creating beauty even in recounting tragic events....

This weekend, April 2 and 3, the Fiera di Sant'Orso will be held. As always, the streets of Aosta will be invaded by over a thousand stalls of artisans who with their passion continue a thousand-year-old tradition. Starting today, Wednesday 12 January, the Saletta d'Arte of the municipality of Aosta hosts “Mani artigiane: la sedia”, an exhibition that aims to tell the story of today's craftsmanship and in particular the work of furniture makers. MAV Educational Carpentry Workshop arrives in Aosta! In a few days, the Atelier Saint-Ours will open its doors in the spaces of the Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, a new educational and informative space dedicated to craftsmanship curated by MAV – Museo dell'Artigianato Valdostano di Tradizionale. From Monday 15 February, a small exhibition dedicated to the Oeuvre Choisie initiative will be open to the public at the Saletta d'Arte of the Municipality of Aosta. The MAV – Museo dell'Artigianato Valdostano di Tradizionale launches a new cultural challenge on the web: Presepi di famiglia (Family Nativity Scenes). It is a contest and a subsequent participatory exhibition in which everyone can take part by nominating their own nativity scene. This idea was born from the impossibility of organizing the usual exhibition dedicated to nativity scenes this Christmas. On Saturday 10 October at 4:00 pm, MAIN-Maison de l'Artisanat International has the honor of hosting a music-art event with the artist Stefano Faravelli and Giuseppe Cederna, a great Italian actor who works in the theater and on the big screen. Friday 28 August and 4 September from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm the MAIN – Maison de l'Artisanat International (Gignod) offers an “Experimental photography workshop” for kids. The young contemporary artist Francesca Alti will get involved with the kids teaching them photography as a means of expressing their emotions and a voice to tell their thoughts.
