From December 6th to January 5th, MAV offers many Christmas-themed workshops, offering children and their families opportunities to experiment with manual craftsmanship and share the joy of creation. The program of activities includes 17 appointments including workshops with wood and wool where children can create nativity scenes, tree decorations, snowmen, angels, skiers, sleds and witches. Evento Artigiano was held from 9 to 12 November, an event dedicated to Ticino artistic craftsmanship aimed at presenting the best of the artistic crafts present in the Canton of Ticino and the artisans who practice them. On Saturday 14 October, the MAV-Museo dell'Artigianato Valdostano di Tradizionale is organizing “Merletti in festa”, an event dedicated to the ancient art of lace, a craft heritage spread throughout Italy and beyond. The day aims to conclude the exhibition “Merletti, fili che uniscono” with a moment of meeting and exchange between artisanal knowledge. Given the great success of “ArtigianImpresa”, a project that took place from June 2022 to August 2023 with the aim of renewing the value of “manual doing” in the new generations and keeping alive the savoir-faire of Aosta Valley craftsmanship, L'Artisanà presents the second edition of the initiative. The last edition provided free and personalized consultancy to all young people interested in the Aosta Valley craftsmanship sector, whether traditional or artistic, with the aim of transforming their ideas and skills into a real job....

Also this year the MAV takes part in Castello in Fiera, the event that involves the places of the municipal territory with shows, workshops, animations and visits to places of culture. The appointment is in Fénis for September 9 and 10. July and August proved to be very fruitful months for L'Artisanà: not only did the shops register a notable influx of tourists, but the number of corners also grew, going from 6 to 8. The corners of L'Artisanà are points of sale hosted inside other commercial establishments and at them it is possible to buy objects in wood, soapstone, wrought iron, textile and ceramic products, the result of the millenary tradition of the Aosta Valley....

Also this year the MAV is present at the Foire d' Été, the most important summer event for craft enthusiasts. On Saturday 5 August from 10.00 to 18.00, in Piazza Giovanni Paolo XXIII, the museum offers mini educational carpentry workshops dedicated to children together with the Valle d'Aosta Forestry Corps. With the activity "From the forest to the Foire" the young visitors of the fair first learn about wood and then how to work it like "real craftsmen" in the Educational Carpentry. July sees the birth of a new project thanks to the collaboration between L'Artisanà and ADAVA, the Association of Hoteliers and Tourism Companies of the Aosta Valley. This initiative allows interested accommodation facilities to easily purchase "Craft Experiences" to present as a service to their customers: in practice, it involves offering tourists two proposals. The first consists of the possibility of attending a demonstration of the product's processing carried out by an artisan, while the second includes the opportunity to directly try a practical processing test during a day of laboratory work....

At the MAV- Museo dell'Artigianato Valdostano di Tradizionale, the exhibition “Merletti, fili che uniscono” is open to the public, dedicated to two excellent artisan traditions: les Dentellières de Cogne and the Scuola Merletti di Gorizia. Outlining the history, similarities and differences of these two manual skills through the exhibited heritage, the exhibition invites the public to discover a very ancient tradition and its deep cultural and identity roots. At L'Artisanà stores you can find the products of five new artisans! Luca Vesan creates cheerful wooden works in bright colors that depict shady forests, green meadows and animals of all kinds. The other three artisans who dedicate themselves to wood are very young guys, aged between 25 and 26, who have recently created their own business in the artisan sector thanks to “ArtigianImpresa”, a path of free and personalized consultancy carried out by L'Artisanà....

On Saturday 17 June, the exhibition “Giorgio Cornaz, the infinite time of doing”, dedicated to a great craftsman from Morgex, opens to the public in the exhibition hall of the Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso in Aosta. This logo was born from the need to clarify.
