L’artisanà will be present at the Fair with a space at the Atelier des Métiers in Piazza Chanoux to promote “ArtigianImpresa”, an initiative created to transform skills and talents into a real job. This project, co-financed by the National Fund for Youth Policies as part of the public notice “2-2022: Young entrepreneurs vda!” announced by the Department of Education, University, Youth Policies, European Affairs and Participated Companies, provides interested parties with the opportunity to analyze a business idea and its real feasibility through the construction of a business plan, free of charge and individually.
During the days of the Fair, it will therefore be possible for all those interested in Aosta Valley craftsmanship, whether traditional or artistic, to contact the L’Artisanà stand and obtain specific information on this initiative.

Also this year the MAV proposes “Oeuvre Choisie”, an event that has been going on for ten years at the museum. Starting at the first light of dawn on Monday 30th January, the head of heritage protection Barbara Bernardi-Gra-Tonetti, and the artistic director of the MAV Nurye Donatoni, identify among the stalls of the fair the works that, due to their characteristics, represent the ideal fil-rouge between the past and present of traditional Aosta Valley craftsmanship.
New this year is the selection of a work of craftsmanship excellence by Alberto Cavalli, director of the Fondazione Cologni in Milan and the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity & Craftsmanship in Geneva and guest of the millenary.
All the selected works will subsequently be exhibited at the MAV with an exhibition dedicated to them.
Educational workshops at Veillà di Petchou
On Monday, January 30, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Cittadella dei Giovani in Aosta, for the Veillà di Petchou, the MAV is offering educational carpentry workshops. In a child-sized workshop, participants can work wood like “real craftsmen” and create a very personal pendant of Sant’Orso. Reservations required on site the same day.
Extraordinary opening of the MAV
On January 30 and 31, the MAV is open to the public from 10:00 to 18:00 with free admission.
On the occasion of the Millenary, the museum wants to offer all craft enthusiasts the opportunity to visit the renovated exhibition space and the heritage preserved therein, witnesses of the culture of the territory.
