Also this year the MAV takes part in Castello in Fiera, the event that involves the places of the municipal territory with shows, workshops, animations and visits to places of culture. The appointment is in Fénis for September 9 and 10.
For the occasion, the museum is open to the public with free admission from 10:00 to 18:00 and offers a series of Educational Carpentry workshops entitled “Fantasmagoric Castle”. The workshops are at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00 and are aimed at children from 3 to 12 years old.
The activities are free with on-site reservation on the day of the event.
Pleasures of Culture
The MAV adheres to Plaisirs de Culture en Vallée d’Aoste, the cultural event that involves all the cultural sites of the region with the theme of living cultural heritage.
From 16 to 24 September 2023, the museum is open to the public free of charge to allow everyone to learn about the Aosta Valley artisan tradition, a tangible and intangible heritage of the territory. On Sunday 17 and 24 September at 3:00 pm, two guided tours are also scheduled at the special price of €3 per person. Finally, on Wednesday 20 September from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, a children’s workshop entitled “Do-Re-Mi”, between music and craftsmanship, is scheduled. The activity is aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and costs €8 per child with the possibility of a subscription.
Guided tours and the workshop can be booked directly online at www.lartisana.vda.it/biglietti.
Educational offer schools
A new school year is upon us and MAV educational services are ready to welcome schools of all levels. In addition to the historic workshops that you always find in the educational offering program, we have planned some new activities for the 2023-2024 school year.
What will never change and on which our educational offering is based are individual experimentation, active participation, manual skills and the creativity of doing.
The complete educational offer for schools is available at www.lartisana.vda.it/didattica-scuole.
Workshops for families
Every Wednesday afternoon in September, the museum offers “Do-Re-Mi”, a workshop dedicated to the connection between music and craftsmanship. Young participants will first be inspired by the many sculptures of musicians exhibited at the museum and then create, in the Educational Carpentry Workshop, small musical instruments, strictly handmade.
The activities are aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and cost €8 per child with the option of a subscription.
Reservations required at www.lartisana.vda.it/biglietti.
