July sees the birth of a new project thanks to the collaboration between L’Artisanà and ADAVA, the Association of Hoteliers and Tourism Enterprises of the Aosta Valley.
This initiative allows interested accommodation facilities to easily purchase “Craft Experiences” to present as a service to their customers: in practice, it involves offering tourists two proposals.
The first consists in the possibility of attending a demonstration of the product’s processing carried out by a craftsman, while the second includes the opportunity to directly try out a practical processing test during a laboratory day.
The idea from which the project sees the light is to allow the tourist to fully immerse himself in the local reality that surrounds him, experiencing first-hand what the Aosta Valley craftsmanship is, and is in line with the current sensitivity that seeks in mountain holidays not only a moment of leisure or rest, but also and above all the possibility of living the experience at 360°.
The results of ArtigianImpresa
After a year of work, the fruits of the “ArtigianImpresa” project, launched in June 2022 with the aim of facilitating youth entrepreneurship in the artisan sector and keeping alive the savoir-faire of Aosta Valley craftsmanship, are evident.
Born to transform ideas and skills into a real job, “ArtigianImpresa” came to life through a long and engaging series of individual and personalized meetings and saw the involvement of several professional figures, including two L’Artisanà employees, an external consultant and a graphic designer, for a total of 22 artisans followed, 113 meetings held, 231 hours of consultancy provided.
Numerous artisanal processes were involved, including ceramics, leather, iron, wood, stone, fabrics and glass, and the results of the activity were equally numerous and satisfactory: the project in fact led to the opening of 5 new VAT numbers by young people under 29 and to the stipulation of 9 contracts with new artisans, 3 of whom were very young, between 24 and 26 years old.
Ceramic workshops in La Thuile
Thanks to the collaboration with the Lo Tirabochon shop in La Thuile, L’Artisanà corner, some days in July and August will be entirely dedicated to craftsmanship! In particular, on Friday 21 July and 11 August it will be possible to participate in two workshops for adults dedicated to modeling and working with ceramics. During these moments, participants will be able to personally create some artifacts to keep with them.
