In the exhibition halls of the Collegiate Church of Saints Peter and Orso, you can visit the exhibition “Gino Daguin, dreams of rough stone”, dedicated to the craftsman from Hône, a great witness of traditional Aosta Valley craftsmanship who has always worked soapstone with enthusiasm and passion.
In his long career as a sculptor he has told the story of his people, a life that was once made of sacrifices, hard work, community, spirituality and mysterious stories. Gino’s important and fruitful production is made unique by the variety of subjects treated and by the narrative realism coming from the soul; each sculpture has a story, small or large. The exhibition with 130 works deals with some themes dear to him, such as music, saints, crucifixes and the village, to give credit to a life dedicated with passion to craftsmanship.
The exhibition can be visited from 1pm to 5pm with free admission and it is possible to take part in a guided tour every day at 2pm.

Educational workshops at Atelier Saint-Ours
MAV’s Educational Carpentry workshops at Atelier Saint-Ours continue throughout the autumn.
Every Wednesday afternoon in November from 3 to 5 pm, children and their families are invited to experiment with manual craftsmanship to build musical instruments, dragons and soapstone pendants.
The activities are aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and cost €8 per child (including the entrance ticket to the Cloister).
