SABOFER – SAVIN Mauro

The company SABOFER was founded in the early nineties in the footsteps of the family tradition of Mauro Savin, who began his activity as a blacksmith at the age of 14 as an apprentice in the laboratory of his father Luciano.
Among the main creations of SABOFER there are signs, railings, gates, furniture, weapons and ancient armours, but the most famous products are the Coquettes and the Dodues, prestigious cowbells built with craftsmanship and musical competence.
Each realization is born from meticulous historical research and a faithful reproduction of ancient techniques, decisive factors to make those works unique pieces.

OFFICINA TOUR – SARVADON Romano

Officina Tour is a small artisan company with 40 years of activity created by Romano Sarvadon. After completing his studies as a mechanical technician, Romano began working in the family’s electromechanical and light carpentry laboratory. Over time, however, his passion for the working of wrought iron took over.
Starting from a sketch, supplied by the customer or designed by himself, he gives life to damascus knives, decorative objects, artistic sculptures, crosses and lamps or even railings and gates.
The techniques employed can be modern or ancient, such as nailing, boiling and welding, chosen from time to time «to make the expressive spontaneity of incandescent iron».
Simple, stylized and a bit rustic is the style he chose for the manufacture of strictly handmade items, never identical to each other.

MOGNOL Livio

He has been working as a blacksmith since the age of 15: between gates, internal stairs and fittings of premises and shops he refined his good taste and the ability to contextualize his works with the surrounding environment. Livio also dedicates himself to the processing of wrought iron, of which he is also a teacher, and he wins numerous awards and recognitions. His style prefers the dry and essential lines that give strength and expressiveness to the iron. Whether it is a gate, a stick for the curtains or a piece of furniture, Livio expresses his inventiveness and originality always trying to give a personal imprint to his every work.

FITTA FAVRE FERRO BATTUTO – FAVRE Michel

Following a sports career and a master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology, Michel decided to devote himself to the knowledge that has been passed down in his family for more than seven generations: the arts of blacksmithing and wrought iron. His works are the result of continuous research that tends to revitalize a technical and stylistic link with tradition in an experimental key. He places at the center of his work the concept that wrought iron should take forms that capture all possible harmonic traits in irregularity, both when reproducing natural subjects and in the conception of abstract lines and workings. For him, iron is inorganic matter that, through the fire of the forge, the use of tools and ideas, comes to life through the fusion of functionality and narrative, creating ever new forms.
