FAZZARI Alessandro
Alessandro inherits his passion for ceramics from his father and, in his workshop, from 2025 develops a personal language that leads him to launch his activity in 2026. He throws everyday objects on the wheel: vases, jugs, teapots, cups, and plates become surfaces for experimentation. Using oxides and glazes, and applying stencils, fabrics, mosses, and real leaves, Alessandro impresses natural and graphic textures into the clay, enhanced by a palette of intense colors. This vision is reflected not only in his stylized animal sculptures, where form is distilled into clean, modern lines, but also in small precious ornaments such as necklaces and earrings, created for those who wish to carry a fragment of this colorful, tactile world with them.
LE TOURNAGE SOCIETÀ COOPERATIVA – FUSINAZ Joel
Le Tournage is an artisanal cooperative founded in 1976 by Bruno Fusinaz and Serafino Cossard. Since 1996 the company has been family-owned and operated by Bruno Fusinaz, his two sons, Thierry and Joel, and his son-in-law, Remy Maquignaz. Their production, consisting mainly of grolles and friendship cups, also includes sugar bowls, wooden bowls and plates, and traditional Valdostan games, and is characterized by their ability to maintain respect for tradition while incorporating elements of originality. As for the materials used, Le Tournage works with local woods such as walnut, maple, birch, and ash.
IMAGO IMAGINUM – CINA Paola
Imago Imaginum was born from the desire to reuse poor materials that bring with them a great number of stories. The door of a piece of furniture or the side of a wooden cradle, the scraps of old hemp sheets, jute cloth sacks, pieces of rope and curls of iron beaten by hand are just some examples of materials and objects from which Paola Cina starts to produce new creations. Thanks to a process implemented in the laboratory with the use of drill, flexible, scissors, brushes and colours, Imago narrates a poem about the little things that communicate emotions thanks to the insertion of phrases from old songs of popular tradition, poems, nursery rhymes and proverbs.
CERAMICA DERBY
Ceramica Derby has been producing handcrafted ceramics of the highest quality for more than 50 years. Thanks to the use of excellent raw materials and the dexterity of skilled craftsmen, it realizes small objects of innovative design and shapes, often combined with local wood inserts. Its main creations include not only colourful enamelled animals and hand-painted cows, but also tableware, gift ideas and items of furniture. Ceramica Derby also produces the historic polychrome tiles created by the well-known and beloved artist, Francesco Nex, using the method he devised.
COMANUFATTO – PELLISSIER Corinne
Corinne has been dedicating herself to the sector of stained glass for a long time. After several years of study, many experiments and much practice, she finally opened her personal laboratory. She enjoys creating special objects through a particular personalized method. In fact, starting for example from an image or a photograph, she can develop a piece of art tailored to specific tastes and needs. coMANUFATTO wants to transmit in the glass sector the spirit of craftsmanship that is usually associated with other materials in Aosta Valley.
SCANDELLA Thierry
His passion for wood began when he was a child: in fact, he made some early small works with hand fretwork. He then studied carpentry, became a student at a school of sculpture and then became passionate about carving. After graduating, Thierry found employment with a famous firm and devoted himself to the manual finishing of friendship cups and grolles, typical objects of Valdostan craftsmanship. His production ranges from the more usual ornamental products such as frames and small boxes to highly customized objects made to measure for clients. For several years, Thierry has participated in numerous fairs and events both in the Aosta Valley and outside the region.
FAZZARI Michelino
Michelino Fazzari was first a student and then a teacher at the Art Institute.
With a deep knowledge of materials, techniques and processes, he applies his originality and imagination to the creation of both sculptures and refined objects such as majolica, decorated terracotta and stoneware. He also dedicates himself to the design and construction of artistic ceramic stoves that for beauty and functionality can be considered “unique pieces”.
For a few years, he has been working in the Derby Legno Ceramiche workshop with which he shares the spaces.
His son Alessandro has recently begun to follow in his footsteps, experimenting with new techniques and also using metallic glazes applied through different stencils.
