The Aosta Valley artisanal culture on display in Biella
21 October 2019
Aosta Valley craftsmanship will be the protagonist in Biella for two different cultural initiatives: an exhibition on travel at Palazzo Ferrero which will host some sticks from the MAIN exhibition and a small exhibition dedicated to the Aosta Valley artisan tradition at “Fatti ad Arte”, a large event dedicated to manual craftsmanship at Palazzo La Marmora._
L’Artisanà will participate in the 3rd edition of Fatti ad Arte, the great event dedicated to craftsmanship that will be held on 26, 27 and 28 October 2019 in the splendid setting of the historic buildings of Biella. On display are unique pieces of the Italian artisan tradition and the valorization of the manual skills of artisans. To expand their offer, the organizers have decided to open the event to cultural entities that deal with the valorization of artisan culture and the transmission of that ancient knowledge that has given life to the very rich manufacturing heritage of our country. Our organization will therefore participate with a space dedicated to the Aosta Valley artisan culture through the setting up of a small exhibition curated by the MAV – Museum of Traditional Aosta Valley Crafts. This exhibition will tell the thousand-year history of Aosta Valley craftsmanship through a selection of significant pieces exhibited at the MAV.
Furthermore, some of the works from the exhibition “Batons Amis”, which recently ended at the MAIN in Gignod, will be put on display at Palazzo Ferrero for an exhibition dedicated to travel.
