OrsOff is the event that creates a dialogue between art and craftsmanship, standing alongside the traditional Foire d’été in a parallel and complementary way.
Promoted through the collaboration between the Regional Government and L’Artisanà, and produced by the Seghesio & Grivon studio, the event returns this year for its fourth edition and, for the occasion, changes colour, moving from yellow to turquoise.
OrsOff unfolds through a series of initiatives, the first of which is an exhibition of artworks hosted in twelve public and private venues in the historic centre of Aosta (Hôtel des États, Collegiate Church of Saint Orso, Santa Croce Church, Brivio2, L’Orticello shop).
The artworks are created by both local artists and artists from across Italy, including Giulia Allasio, Marco Nones and Harald Pizzinini.
The participation of Swiss artisans from the Aticrea network – Ticino Association of Artisan Artists (Mathias Bachofen, Anne de Haas) – is also confirmed, together with that of French artisans from the Chambre de Métiers et de l’Artisanat de la Savoie (Nathalie Pinto).
The programme is further enriched by:
- the opening of seven artisan workshops, including five already featured in previous editions (Chiantaretto, Carolina Grosa, Ceramiche Derby, Elena Capra, Minel) and two new participants: Gattacicova and La Nuova Filanda;
- a guided tour organised together with the FAI Giovani group of Aosta;
- a screen-printing workshop at the Nasonasinonasello studio, led by Giampaolo Ducly and Carolina Grosa. Visitors will have the opportunity to print and take home an original illustration dedicated to the theme of the nest, the common thread of the exhibition that will animate the studio during those days.
Finally, upon reservation, visitors will be able to attend a theatrical event hosted at the Chiantaretto atelier.
