Artisanà goes to Korea with the International Crafts Charter

From September 22nd to October 4th, the Director of IVAT will be a guest at the KICB – Korean International Ceramic Biennale 2019 in Icheon, a major event dedicated to the artisanal culture of ceramics. Thanks to the network created by the International Charter of Artistic and Traditional Crafts, to which IVAT adheres as a partner body, several figures have been invited to the Biennale, identified among experts, professionals, university professors and heads of institutions and museums. This biennale represents for us an opportunity to compare with other artisanal cultural realities and on more contemporary ways of enhancing artisanal production. In Icheon, we talk about ceramics, but the importance of promoting and enhancing ancient knowledge from a contemporary perspective could be transported to our territory on other materials and techniques.
