June at MAV and SpaziOrsoEdu: educational experiences for all ages
In June, a rich programme of educational activities awaits children and teens at MAV – Museum of Traditional Valdostan Handicrafts and SpaziOrsoEdu.
At SpaziOrsoEdu, the youngest children (0–3 years) can explore the world of craftsmanship through a sensory experience that guides them in discovering materials through touch, sight, and play — stimulating curiosity and perceptual development.
At MAV, children aged 3 to 12 can get hands-on with traditional skills in the Educational Carpentry Workshop — a real child-sized workshop. Here, using real tools in a safe environment, they create a small wooden bird inspired by the museum’s collection.
For teenagers aged 12 to 16, SpaziOrsoEdu offers an artisan workshop where they can try their hand at designing and building a small piece of furniture. Working with recycled materials, they learn to combine creativity, manual skills, and environmental awareness, discovering the value of reuse and sustainable design.
A unique opportunity to experience craftsmanship firsthand — learning by doing, with both hands and mind.
