Claire Bal joins IVAT contributors

November marks the entrance of a new ceramist among the IVAT contributors!
After a long career as a journalist for several national newspapers, Claire decided to dedicate herself to what she has always dreamed of doing: creating ceramic works with her own hands.
Its focus is on interior design: decorations, centerpieces, lamps, paintings, but also everyday objects.
In her laboratory in Nus she uses mainly stoneware, which she models both on the wheel and on a slab, also with a particular folding technique she developed. She loves the depth and versatility of high-temperature glazes, especially in shades of blue. Attention to aesthetics is her distinctive trait.
