Exhibition “Craftsman’s Hands: The Chair”

From January 12 to February 10, the Saletta d’Arte of the municipality of Aosta hosts “Mani artigiane: la sedia”, an exhibition that aims to tell the story of today’s craftsmanship and in particular the work of furniture makers. Through the chair, a symbolic object of home furnishings since ancient times, the exhibition tells the story of the Aosta Valley artisan panorama from the past to the present, the construction techniques and the design of an object that resists the passage of time. There are 22 works on display and they represent the varied production of Aosta Valley furniture makers: from ancient artefacts to contemporary works, from traditional decorations to design.
