Exhibition and workshops at the Foire de Donnas

19 January 2020

On the occasion of the Foire de Donnas, scheduled for Sunday 19 January 2020, the MAV will inaugurate the exhibition “Craftsmanship VS Ethnography” inside the Museum of Wine and Viticulture and will propose a series of educational workshops for children.
The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between IVAT, the Department of Productive Activities, Energy and Labour Policies and the Municipality of Donnas with the common aim of promoting craftsmanship within the most important trade fairs in the region. The exhibition includes a series of sculptures that tell the story of the world of viticulture in a dialogue between ethnography and craftsmanship, comparing the artefacts of the wine museum and the heritage of the MAV.
On the day of the fair, from 2 to 5 pm, again at the wine museum, the MAV will offer Educational Carpentry workshops for children. With the use of tools, young visitors to the Fair will be able to experiment with manual craftsmanship and build a handcrafted pendant dedicated to the world of viticulture out of wood. The activity is free and aimed at children aged 3 to 12. Reservations on site on the day of the activity. The exhibition will remain open until 19 February 2020 during the opening hours of the Wine and Viticulture Museum (Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 2 pm to 6 pm, on the day of the Foire de Donnas from 9 am to 5 pm).
