Flashback – Rocking, Playing, Growing

An exhibition dedicated to the stages of life in a comparison between different times and cultures, conceived and created in collaboration with the Castello D’Albertis Museum of World Cultures and the De Amicis Library in Genoa.

Growing up in other worlds and other times is the theme of the exhibition. Starting from birth, through the world of games, to schooling and engagement/initiation, the times of life in different societies are explored (the Val d’Aosta of the late 19th century as well as that of the indigenous peoples of North and South America without forgetting that of Genoa), with the help of cradles, toys, as well as lullabies, fairy tales and contextual images, to understand what still unites us with these worlds in space-time flashbacks, in materials, rituals, sounds, reference models, ideals and dreams.
