Show “The Conquest of the Matterhorn”

On Saturday 31 August at 9:00 pm at the MAV, “La Conquista del Cervino” will be performed, a show that tells one of the greatest challenges that the history of mountaineering remembers and the beginning of a new way of experiencing the mountains. The show stages the challenge between Jean Antoine Carrel and Edward Whimper for the conquest of the iconic peak.
The event is one of the collateral proposals to the exhibition “Spirito Montano, scultori valdostani raccontano”. For the occasion, the Mav will be exceptionally open to the public from 6 to 9 pm to allow all those who wish to visit the museum and the exhibition before the show.
