Gino Daguin’s nativity scenes at the Cloister of Sant’Orso

15 December 2022

The Cloister of the Collegiate Church of Sant’Orso, a place of prayer but above all an artistic heritage of the city of Aosta, now hosts three nativity scenes in soapstone and wood created by Gino Daguin. The three works have found space among the capitals of the Cloister, splendid witnesses of Romanesque art, and aim to represent the close bond between sacred faith and craftsmanship through an object that is a symbol of Christian Christmas.
The nativity scenes will be visible in the Cloister of the Collegiate Church of Sant’Orso until January 15, 2022.
