Alessio Ferrari approached the craft of soapstone working by following in the footsteps of his father Fabrizio and his grandfather Renzo, and he fell in love with it because of its unique softness and malleability. From an early age, he showed a strong interest in the craft, first through play and later by creating small works such as picture frames, pocket trays, and pens.
After gaining various experiences, he opened his own company in 2023, dedicated to the creation of decorative furnishings and stone sculpture, producing larger works such as monuments and bas-reliefs, as well as smaller objects like clocks and fragrance diffusers.
In addition, thanks to his family’s experience, he restores ancient Walser stoves, some of them over 300 years old, striving to preserve their original form and integrity.
He truly loves his work and shows it through the passion he puts into everything he creates, especially when sharing his experience and knowledge with others.
