Aperitif concerts in museums: Sound sticks and Music at the museum

The entire summer season will be full of concerts, visits and workshops in the L’Artisanà museums!
For the second consecutive year, the musical review “Bastoni sonori”, curated by Selene Framarin, will be held again, bringing musicians from all over Italy to the MAIN and MAV, who will accompany the public on a journey through sounds, identity, tradition and experimentation.

Minimalism and randomness: two faces of the 20th century

The percussions tell the story of the 20th century, from the sounds of the minimal music of Steve Reich and Philip Glass to the world of John Cage who, inspired by Eastern philosophies and seeking freedom from constraints and models, explored chance and the unpredictable in music.

Traveling with Mediterranean Lutes

A journey through the musical languages, styles, cultures, and events of the Eastern Mediterranean, proposed through various traditional lutes and a voice, to tell and sing stories. It is no coincidence that the synecdoche ‘il legno’ (from which the their very name), was used both for boats and for these wonderful musical instruments, whose case is built just like the hull of a ship…

The Accordion in Post-War Italy

A program on the Italian roots of the classical accordion in the second half of the 20th century, when, by attracting the attention of personalities of the caliber of Fugazza and Pozzoli, it went beyond its typical popular connotation and began to appear on the threshold of the “cultured” environment.

Tradition and electronic experimentation
Christian Thoma , oboe, English horn, bass clarinet, electronics, compositions and arrangements
Rémy Boniface , violin, diatonic accordion, electro-acoustic hurdy-gurdy, electronics, compositions and arrangements
The multiple acoustic instruments interact with the electronics in a mix of classical, folk and jazz music, creating sound environments that are sometimes contemporary and “research”, sometimes with clear references to ancient music.
