MAV celebrates International Museum Day

May of culture at MAV

MAV celebrates International Museum Day

May 18 is International Museum Day, a day dedicated to cultural sites promoted by ICOM since 1977. The aim of the initiative is to raise awareness of the role of museums as a means of exchange, cultural enrichment and cooperation.
On this day, the MAV is offering a game to make the museum experience fun and exciting. All visitors are invited to participate in Escape MAV by solving clues and puzzles to learn about the craftsmanship and collections on display. An invitation to experience the museum in a new way to discover how fun a place of culture can be!
Escape MAV is offered throughout the day (from 10.00 to 18.00) and is free, as is the entrance to the museum.

Workshops for families

Educational activities for families at MAV continue!
Every Wednesday in May from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm we await you with the “Little Equilibrists” workshop where children will learn to build a toy by themselves like real craftsmen. After having searched the museum for objects that tell the story of balance and having experimented with the distribution of weights and volumes, the young craftsmen create a small balancing toy in the Educational Carpentry.
The activity is aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and costs €8 per child with the option of a subscription. Reservations required by 5pm the day before on the website www.lartisana.vda.it/biglietti
