From 1 to 4 August, the historic centre of Aosta will host Orsoff, a one-of-a-kind exhibition-event born from the concept of “fuori fiera” (hence -off ) and positioned as an alternative and complementary project to the 55th Foire d’été.
The main goal is to connect art and craftsmanship, offering a new light to the artistic side of craftsmanship and encouraging dialogue between artists and artisans. The event is promoted and supported by our Department and realized together with Studio SeghesioGrivon, the Cultural Association Inarttendu and the graphic designer Pier Francesco Grizi.
Orsoff takes the form of an exhibition spread across approximately 15 public and private locations in the center of Aosta. A point of reference will be the Atelier des Métiers in Piazza Chanoux, where visitors can obtain additional information and a map of the exhibition locations.
The event involves about thirty artists and artisans: numerous Aosta Valley entities, several Italian ones including a renowned Milanese gallery specialized in Fiber art/textile art, and the Swiss Ticino association of artisans and artists ATICREA, with whom L’Artisanà has already collaborated in the past.
Orsoff also aims to involve young people, bringing them closer to traditional craftsmanship through the use of innovative forms and languages, and therefore includes two schools: Don Bosco in Chatillon and the Liceo Artistico in Aosta. FAI giovani Aosta will also support the event and organize guided tours, offering a precious opportunity for discovery and learning.
Finally, on Friday 2 August, at the Teatro Giacosa, there will be a show in three performances that will highlight what it means to be a craftsman or an artist today.

Temporary closure of the Cogne store
We regret to inform you that, following the recent flooding, our store in Cogne will be temporarily closed.
Fortunately we did not suffer any direct damage but the road leading to Cogne collapsed, making access to our store impossible and preventing product supplies.
Work is currently underway to restore traffic, we hope to welcome you back to our shop as soon as possible!
In the meantime, we join the Cogne community in this difficult time and want to thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time.
