The Foire de Saint-Ours: a thousand-year-old tradition at the International Crafts Exhibition
8 May 2011
On the occasion of the 75th edition of the International Crafts Exhibition, at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, some “oeuvre choisie” were exhibited that told the story of the thousand-year-old Sant’Orso Fair.
On the occasion of the 75th edition of the International Crafts Exhibition, at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, IVAT, through the MAV and with the support of the Department of Productive Activities, set up an exhibition on the Fiera di Sant’Orso through the “oeuvre choisie” chosen at the Fiera di Sant’Orso. The works on display, selected with the artisans themselves with a view to a “participatory exhibition”, allowed visitors to retrace the evolutionary stages of a thousand-year-old event and discover the artistic vivacity of the Aosta Valley artisan mastery.
