The fair of the know-how fair

The exhibition highlights the deep connection between creation and representation through a selection of sculptures and crafted objects, accompanied by illustrated plates by the artist Giovanni Thoux.
The exhibition route guides visitors from representations of agricultural and pastoral work, through everyday utilitarian objects, to contemporary sculptural production, conveying the continuity of artisanal practice in its many forms.
Agro-pastoral cultures of the Alpine regions are characterized by a rich heritage of technical knowledge and material signs, bearing witness to a time when the mountain farmer was also an artisan.
Within the cyclical rhythm of the seasons, winter became a time for creation: a period devoted to making, decorating, and sculpting the everyday world.
The exhibition is promoted by L’Artisanà and the Department for Economic Development, Education, Employment, Transport and Sustainable Mobility, with the exhibition design curated by the MAV – Museo dell’Artigianato Valdostano.
