Diálogos, Craftsmanship and Images of Devotion

Aosta, Fénis, Introd, Saint-Pierre, July 10th, 2026 – February 7th, 2027.
A journey through the Aosta Valley, where craftsmanship, devotional imagery and cultural heritage come together in a multi-site exhibition spanning four locations and four key themes. ✢ Fénis – Sign At the MAV – Museum of Traditional Aosta Valley Craftsmanship, the exhibition begins with the symbol of the cross and its many representations, exploring spirituality through traditional objects and handcrafted works. ✢ Aosta – Memory At the Priory of Sant’Orso, handcrafted objects become keepers of memory, telling stories of the home, work, nourishment and protection. The exhibition also offers a special focus on Saint Francis and the transformations of the city of Aosta. ✢ Saint-Pierre – Connection At Sarriod de La Tour Castle, artworks and handcrafted objects reveal the ties between families, castles and territories, weaving together a network of relationships that runs throughout the history of the Aosta Valley. ✢ Introd – Return At the Chapel of the Holy Shroud and in the park of Introd Castle, works of art and objects return to their original setting. A photographic itinerary also invites visitors to continue exploring the heritage of the Aosta Valley through its castles, museums and landscapes. Diálogos is a project that brings places, artworks and communities into dialogue, offering new perspectives on the cultural heritage of the Aosta Valley. The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Department of Economic Development, Training and Employment, Transport and Sustainable Mobility and the Department of Education, Culture and Identity Policies of the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley. It is curated by L’Artisanà and the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage and Activities.
