Autumn events at MAIN

On Saturday 10 October at 4:00 pm, MAIN-Maison de l’Artisanat International has the honor of hosting a music-art event with the artist Stefano Faravelli and Giuseppe Cederna, a great Italian actor who works in the theater and on the big screen. Alternating literary and musical moments, the two artists and friends will tell thoughts and emotions of the pandemic taken from “Piccolo esorcismo (visionario) di una pianeta”, an artistic work by Stefano Faravelli that tells through drawings and thoughts the health emergency that has overwhelmed us. This latest artistic project was recently published by the well-known publishing house La Nave di Teseo and is currently on display at MAIN within the exhibition “Pandemonio – tra vita, morte e miracoli”. The friend and actor Giuseppe Cederna , a famous Italian actor who works in the theater and on the big screen, edited the preface describing Faravelli as a person and as an artist with great sensitivity.
The presentation of the catalogue of Faravelli’s work will be accompanied by the music of the Humana Fragilità Ensemble , a trio composed of the musicians Carlotta Populin, Franco Celio Cioli and Maximiliano Danta Texeira.
An event not to be missed with internationally renowned artists that will transform the Gignod exhibition center into an exceptional stage.

Healing the body and spirit: herbs and secrets of the Val d'Aosta folk tradition

On Saturday 17 October at 4:00 pm, the MAIN-Maison de l’Artisanat International will host a conference by ethnobotanist Fiorenza Cout, who will tell the public how the healing formulas have been maintained and handed down in the Aosta Valley tradition as an expression of a peasant and mountain culture linked to the rhythms of nature and, even today, there are many people who practice the secrets, in silence, to care for the body and soul.
