Ses débuts le voient comme employé dans une entreprise artisanale de Milan, où il apprend à travailler le bois massif en réalisant des meubles pour les magasins et les grands bureaux. En 1979 il s’installe en Vallée d’Aoste et en 1980 il ouvre son propre atelier. Depuis lors, Giulio continue à travailler exclusivement en bois national pour créer des meubles avec un nombre croissant de personnes qui apprécient son style, dans lequel il préfère "le rustique élégant", l’effet vieillissant qui rappelle les meubles d’antan.
