{"id":33299,"date":"2026-01-16T09:41:26","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T08:41:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lartisana.vda.it\/?p=33299"},"modified":"2026-01-18T14:33:19","modified_gmt":"2026-01-18T13:33:19","slug":"lartisana-at-the-saint-ours-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lartisana.vda.it\/en\/events\/lartisana-at-the-saint-ours-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"L&#8217;Artisan\u00e0 at the Saint Ours Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"33299\" class=\"elementor elementor-33299 elementor-33292\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d378fe1 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"d378fe1\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6313d63 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6313d63\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On the occasion of the millenary <strong>Foire de Saint Ours<\/strong>, both the Business Development Area and the Culture Area of L\u2019Artisan\u00e0 are organizing a range of activities dedicated to adults and children alike:<\/p><p><strong>Presentation of the SAVALART project at the Atelier des M\u00e9tiers<\/strong><br \/>At the Atelier des M\u00e9tiers in Piazza Chanoux, a space will be dedicated to SAVALART, the new Interreg ALCOTRA project developed by the Business Development Area of L\u2019Artisan\u00e0 in partnership with the <em>Chambre de m\u00e9tiers et de l\u2019artisanat de la R\u00e9gion Auvergne Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes<\/em>.<br \/>SAVALART aims to safeguard and modernize the artisanal sector of Savoy and the Aosta Valley, two regions linked by a shared heritage and similar challenges, such as the transmission of savoir-faire and the evolution of craft professions. The Atelier space will serve a dual purpose: presenting the project and showcasing selected handcrafted works from both the Aosta Valley and France.<\/p><p><strong>Oeuvre Choisie, in search of tradition among the Fair\u2019s stalls<\/strong><br \/>Once again this year, the MAV presents the \u201cOeuvre Choisie\u201d initiative, a museum event that has been running for over ten years and is eagerly awaited by exhibiting artisans. From the first light of dawn on Tuesday, 30 January, the Head of Heritage Conservation, Barbara Bernardi-Gra-Tonetti, selects among the Fair\u2019s stalls the works that, through their characteristics, represent the ideal common thread between the past and the present of traditional Aosta Valley craftsmanship.<br \/>The materials used, production techniques, form, aesthetic appeal, respect for proportions, and simplicity of the product are the main evaluation criteria. All selected works will subsequently be exhibited at the MAV in a dedicated exhibition starting in February.<\/p><p><strong>La Veill\u00e0 di Petchou<\/strong><br \/>On 30 January from 2:00 p.m. at Spazio Plus in Aosta, La Veill\u00e0 di Petchou returns\u2014the veill\u00e0 dedicated to children. The program includes educational craft workshops organized by the museum, a theatrical performance, entertainment activities, exhibitions, games, and the traditional hay battle. A full afternoon of activities dedicated to younger participants, designed to pass on the beauty of the artisanal tradition.<br \/>The event is organized by the Department of Productive Activities, Training, Employment, Transport and Sustainable Mobility, in collaboration with the MAV and the Municipality of Aosta.<\/p><p><strong>Free admission to the MAV \u2013 Museum of Aosta Valley Craftsmanship<\/strong><br \/>On 30 and 31 January, the MAV will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with free admission.
