From Monday 15 February, a small exhibition dedicated to the Oeuvre Choisie initiative will be open to the public at the Saletta d’Arte of the Municipality of Aosta. On the occasion of the Sant’Orso Fair, for 10 years now, the MAV – Museo dell’Artigianato Valdostano di Tradizionale has been proposing a cultural initiative dedicated to the valorization of today’s artisanal productions capable of maintaining a link with tradition. This year, with the virtual Fair, it was not possible to select the works from the stalls, but the artisans themselves nominated their objects. 153 works arrived from 85 artisans, a sign that the initiative has attracted interest from the artisans of the Aosta Valley. The MAV has therefore decided to exhibit a work for each artisan at the Saletta d’Arte in Via Xavier de Maistre in Aosta with the aim of telling the story of today’s craftsmanship. Among these, those selected as Oeuvre Choisie 2021 were highlighted. The works on display tell the variety of our craftsmanship, with different processing techniques from vannerie to sculpture, materials ranging from iron, soapstone, wood and leather and types of objects ranging from agricultural tools to objects of use to sculptures. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-24987","newsletter","type-newsletter","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
